Strengthen Missouri Workers

The minimum wage is just too low. The cost of food, housing, transportation, and other necessities has gone up, but wages haven’t kept pace. This initiative helps classroom aides, home health care workers, custodians, and other hardworking people, and it will ensure that all Missourians are paid enough to live and take care of their families.

“Costs keep going up, but our wages haven’t kept pace. My husband and I live paycheck-to-paycheck. The end of every month is a struggle, and we know that one thing we didn’t see coming could ruin the rest of our month.” – Barbara Lomker, 59, a cashier at O’Fallon North Shop-n-Save in St. Charles County
